FC Teen Volunteers


Friendship Circle UES invites all new and returning volunteers to an evening of inspiration, information and education. Featuring an incredible game show, giveaways, info on Friendship Circle programs and volunteer opportunities for the year ahead. Light dinner will be served.

Mandatory for all teen volunteers. Parents are strongly encouraged to join.

Volunteer Orientation


Mandatory for all new volunteers, and highly recommended for returning volunteers, these 1 hour crash courses will be taught by certified behavioral therapist Zahava Friedman. They will give each teen a basic understanding of different disabilities, sensory and motor input, and how to deal with challenging situations. It promises to be interactive and enjoyable. The purpose of the training sessions are to equip teens with knowledge and context which will lead to a more wholesome volunteer experience.

Positive Impact Training Series


Friendship Circle hosts a dynamic speaker with disabilities to share his/her life experience and change our perspectives on individuals with special needs. All active volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend together with their families.

Volunteer Socials


The Friendship Walk is an event that raises funds and awareness for the Friendship Circle. Join us as an individual or create a team as we walk through the streets of Manhattan in a proud demonstration of community awareness, festivity, and unity. The Walk is followed by a family street fair replete with kosher food, rides, carnival games, zoo animals, shopping, shows and more!
