Here you'll find a full listing of programs for kids (ages 3-12). 

Returning members can register for programs below. If you are new to Friendship Circle, we invite you to explore all we have on offer, but please note, before registering for a specific program you will first have to complete the general application process (there is no application fee).

Sunday Circle

Sunday Circle is a bi-weekly program that enables parents to leave their children in the hands of loving volunteers and qualified professionals for two hours of fun, entertainment, creativity, and social interaction. With numerous activities on offer, including music, art, baking, sports, bounce house and facilitated sensory play, Sunday Circle is a real favorite! Open to kids of all abilities.

Ages: 4-12  |  Volunteers: Grade 7+  |  Time: 12:30-2:30pm (Volunteers begin at 12:00 pm)

Dates (2019/20): Sep 22, Oct 6, 27, Nov 10, 24, Dec 8, 22, Jan 12, 26, Feb 2, 23

Location: Ramaz Middle School - 114 East 85th Street

Fee: $350/year

Friends @ Home

This weekly program facilitates quality time between teen volunteers and kids with special needs in the comfort of their own home. Each week, two teen volunteers visit their friend, sharing companionship, laughter, and fun. While the kids experience the joy of friendship, parents will enjoy a regular respite.

Ages: 3 - 12  |  Volunteers: Grade 9+  |  Time: Customized to your schedule 

Miracle Sports League

A weekly after school club where participants can enjoy a range of athletic activities such as soccer, hockey, gaga & volleyball. Professional coaches and teen volunteers engender team spirit and encourage everyone to get moving! Open to kids of all abilities.

Ages: 7 - 12  |  Volunteers*: 11-17  |  Time: Tuesdays, 4:45 - 5:45pm

(*Volunteers for this program must be Ramaz students)

Location: Ramaz Middle School - 114 East 85th Street

Fee: $350/year

Friends @ Home Connect

Two times a year, all the pairs participating in the Friends @ Home program are invited to an evening of fun and entertainment. The 1.5 hour gathering is a great opportunity for the kids and volunteers to socialize and meet so many other pairs sharing the Friends @ Home experience.

Day Camps

At Friendship Circle Day Camp, kids of all abilities have their school breaks transformed into a fun-filled camp experience! Packed with daily field trips, art, music, sports, special performances and more, FC day camp is an experience like no other.

Ages: 5-12  |  Fee: $125/day

Thanksgiving Mini-Camp: November 28, 2019

Winter Camp: December 26-27, 2019

Presidents' Week Camp: February 17-18, 2020

Summer Camp: August 24-28, 2020

Birthday Bash

Every child's big day is a big deal at the Friendship Circle! Birthday celebrations are integrated into all our ongoing programs to ensure that every child enjoys a festive birthday they will always remember!

How we celebrate at ongoing programs:

Children with upcoming birthdays will enjoy a joint party at the program closest to their birthday. Party highlights include birthday games, refreshments, gifts and of course...a birthday cake!

How we celebrate at a Friends @ Home visit:

Buddies will show up for their weekly visit toting a 'birthday in a box'. Full of interactive birthday activities and gifts, the home party is guaranteed to make each child feel treasured!

Jewish Holidays

Throughout the year Friendship Circle provides family holiday inspiration and fun! Celebrate Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim and more. At FC holiday programs children, siblings, parents and volunteers come together to share memorable holiday experiences that will leave a lasting impression!

Friendship Walk

The highlight of our year! Join thousands from across the NYC community in a tremendous display of pride and unity as we walk through the streets of the Upper East Side raising awareness and funds for children, teens and young adults with special needs. A 1.5 mile walk followed by an all day street carnival replete with rides, carnival games, zoo animals, shows, kosher food and more. All funds raised benefit Friendship Circle of the Upper East Side!
