Kids Programs

This year, we're offering a Sunday gym class at Gym Time - an incredible all-inclusive indoor gym and play center designed for children and teens of all abilities. Gym class will teach gymnastics skills that build fitness and work on gross motor skills. Your child will be cared for by loving volunteers and qualified professionals during the 1.5-hour class. Open to kids of all abilities.

💳 $45/per class or $575 for 15 classes

Ages 3+

This weekly program facilitates quality time between teen volunteers and kids in the comfort of their own homes. Each week, two volunteers visit their special friend, offering companionship, laughter, and fun. In exchange, the teen volunteers learn the value of friendship and experience firsthand the power of giving. Friends @ Home will be taking place in-person or over Zoom at your preference.

At Friendship Circle summer classes, children learn life skills, music, art and gym alongside supportive and engaging teen volunteers. Open to kids of all abilities.

Kids Ages: 5+ | Volunteers: Grade 7-12

Dates: August 18 -21, 2025

Location: Chabad UES - 419 East 77th Street

Classes available:

• Art Class: Kids will work with a variety of mediums (painting, drawing, etc) and will focus on fine and gross motor skills - $25/1 hour session
• Life Skills: This class will focus on skills that help with community integration, like safety skills and communication skills - $50/2 hour session
• Yoga: Kids will work on various yoga poses to increase gross motor skills and physical fitness.  Poses they will learn include Warrior, Downward Dog, High Lunge, Child's Pose, and Cat/Cow Pose - $50/2 hour session
• Baking: Baking will focus on various baking skills for increased autonomy and independence, including following a recipe, reading and following instructions, measuring quantities, and building competency with culinary tools (pans, cooking utensils, oven, electric mixer, etc) - $50/2 hour session
• Animal Science: Animal Science will help with fine and gross motor skills and teach kids how to interact with animals within the community in a safe manner - $50/2 hour session
• Gym Class: Gym class will teach gymnastics skills that build fitness and work on gross motor skills - $50/2 hour session

Throughout the year Friendship Circle provides family holiday inspiration and fun! Celebrate Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim and more. At FC holiday programs children, siblings, parents and volunteers come together to share memorable holiday experiences that will leave a lasting impression!

Every child's big day is a big deal at the Friendship Circle! Each child receives a festive birthday package in the mail in honor of their special day!

The highlight of our year! Join thousands from across the NYC community in a tremendous display of pride and unity as we walk through the streets of the Upper East Side raising awareness and funds for Friendship Circle Upper East Side and our beloved kids, teens and young adults with special needs.
