Here you'll find a full listing of programs for Teens (ages 13+).

Returning members can register for programs below. If you are new to Friendship Circle, we invite you to explore all we have on offer, but please note, before registering for a specific program you will first have to complete the general application process (there is no application fee).

Teen Scene Sunday Club

This program allows teens to enhance social, safety and daily living skills, alongside supportive & engaging teen volunteers. Teens will learn and practice self-advocacy, peer to peer social skills and other important tools for life within a relaxed and fun environment that promotes independence. Open to teens of all abilities.

Ages: 13+  |  Volunteers: Grade 9+  |  Time: 1:25-3:25pm (Volunteers begin at 1:00pm)

Meeting at Asphalt Green (Murphy Center) - 555 East 90th St, 10128

17 Sessions (Oct 2, 23, 30, Nov 13, 20, Dec 4, 11, Jan 22, 29, Feb 5, 12, 26, Mar 12, 19, 26, Apr 23, 30)

Fee: $600/year per person (can be paid in installments)*

* Scholarships are available for those who need. Nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds. Please fill out the registration form and email office@friendshipcirclenyc.org with your request.

Virtual Teen Club

A weekly virtual club hosted by Ramaz high school students, combining socializing with skill building while having a blast at the same time! Activities will include virtual games, music, movement, foodie fun & more.

Mondays 7:30-8:30pm (to be confirmed)

Friends at Home

Ages 13+

This weekly program facilitates quality time between teen volunteers and teens with special needs in the comfort of their own homes. Each week, two volunteers visit their special friend, offering companionship, laughter, and fun. In exchange, the teen volunteers learn the value of friendship and experience firsthand the power of giving. Friends @ Home will be taking place in-person or over Zoom at your preference.

Friends at Home Connect

Two times a year, all the pairs participating in the Friends @ Home program are invited to an evening of connection. This gathering is a special time for the teens and volunteers to socialize and meet so many other pairs sharing the Friends @ Home experience.

DAY CAMPS

At Friendship Circle Day Camp, teens of all abilities have their school breaks transformed into a fun-filled camp experience! Packed with daily field trips, art, music, sports, special performances and more, FC day camp is an experience like no other.

Jewish Holidays

Throughout the year Friendship Circle provides family holiday inspiration and fun! Celebrate Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim and more. At FC holiday programs children, siblings, parents and volunteers come together to share memorable holiday experiences that will leave a lasting impression!

Birthday In A Box

Every teen's big day is a big deal at the Friendship Circle! Each teen receives a festive birthday package in the mail in honor of their special day!

FRIENDSHIP WALK

The highlight of our year! Join thousands from across the NYC community in a tremendous display of pride and unity as we walk through the streets of the Upper East Side raising awareness and funds for children, teens and young adults with special needs. All funds raised benefit Friendship Circle of the Upper East Side!

Teens Social Skills Class

This program teaches teens social skills, alongside supportive & engaging teen volunteers. During each class, teens will learn and practice self-advocacy, and other important social skills within a relaxed and fun environment that promotes independence. Open to teens of all abilities.

Fee: $40/per class or $600 for 17 classes
